That said if you play 30 mins or an hour here or there you will have fun with the story and battle system without rushing through it too quickly.If the development continues the way it has it very well could be a indie gem drawing from the JRPGs of the 90s and 00s. It honestly puts to shame a lot of AAA devs, but that isn't really difficult these days.There are issues with this game though, performance to some bugs to other smaller nit picks but overall worth the money if you are a fan of turn based RPGs.Random thought\/priase It kind of makes me wish they would have done this type of combat for the FFVII remake.. Great game. Great potential. Different quests and puzzles, all pretty original in this genre, with some classic quests. Can get unexpectedly difficult at times, but that's *not a complaint*, so save often! Can't wait for more.. Its a beautiful game nice scenery and you play as main character got incurable insomnia...well it is early access, looking forward for the full release game... Would love to see an option to customize keybindings.. One hit KO'd a monster, got a 4 star battle rating.Nice.. It will get there, but not yet. Yes, it's in alpha, but as it stands it's just a chore to play.There are a lot of positives which indicate that this will end up as a good title. The crystal system is fantastic, it's very good looking at times, the characters are interesting, and it seems like there is a good mix of side bits and pieces to do. The crafting system shows promise (especially once they start filling it out with a bit more content) and the soundtrack is also pretty good which goes a long way in a JRPG. Everything else, however, is sorely lacking. There are serious balancing issues, and combat is both slow and repetitive which is made even more painful by the incredibly narrow range of enemies. Add to this the fact that you need to level a bit to get anywhere, and the fun is pretty much instantly sucked out of the game. The random quest idea is fine in theory but there is just not enough right now to have it contribute anything at all either, to the point where it's more annoying than the little value that it is supposed to add.The story, at least early on, isn't really interesting either. There's no hook, or anything really at all to drive a desire to understand more about the world or the characters within it. It feels like a randomly assigned quest, except that it happens to be the main one.I'll recommend it because I do think that it will come good in time, but besides loading it up and having a quick run around for an hour or so to get a feel for it, I'll be waiting for quite a while for the dev team to add a lot of polish. It just hasn't come far enough yet to be worth investing any real amount of time into.
