About This Game An exciting adventure of a brave girl who found herself in a fantasy world. She has to find a way to stop the cursed beasts awakened after sleeping for a thousand years and coming to life for reasons unknown. Lost Lands: the Golden Curse is an adventurous hidden object game-quest with puzzles and mini-games scattered through the boundless spaces of the fantasy world – from the volcano valleys to the Druid forest, from the deep caves to the floating islands. One fine day an ordinary good-looking housewife, Susan, while visiting the museum of arts drops by an old looking glass which, for whatever reason, starts to beckon her up. When she touched the looking-glass, Susan was immediately transported into a magical fantasy world of the Lost Lands. She has been known for her heroic deeds as Susan the Warrior there. Susan meets a child named Fiora, and the girl takes Susan to her great-grandfather, Maaron. Susan recognizes the Druid as an old acquaintance. Maaron explains that the village was attacked by a Harpy, the legendary winged beast. The strangest thing is that the demon has been a stone statue in the abandoned old fort for thousands of years. Along with her friends Susan is ready to set forth into a volcano, go to a dungeon and climb floating islands to find out the reason why the Harpy, Naga, the Minotaur and Solidus, one after another, began coming to life from the stone prison and causing chaos in the Lost Lands. Mini games are fun. A bit too complicated for me,have to use the hint button all the time to find out where to go. Easy to play and entertaining. actually a good and relaxing HO experience. I'd recommend it. Make sure to play the other Lost Lands games first. You'll understand the characters and their history better. I've really enjoyed the Lost Lands games I've played so far. I really like all the options for difficulty (very customizable). I like that for some of the achievements, like "do such and such game in under a minute" you can replay that game in the main menu (after you've unlocked it in story mode) and it will count toward the achievement. That way, you don't have to play the entire game over again to get the achievement. There's also a strategy giude for when you are really stuck, which is nice if there are no community guides that can help you. Before I mostly just played Artifex Mundi games, but the first Five BN game I played was one of the New York Mysteries. I liked it a lot so I bought the whole Lost Lands bundle and it was a great purchase :) I'll definitely keep buying games from this developer.. It's not too straight forward so you have some searching to do. What I personally appreciate is that you keep some things (like a knife) and use them more often instead of throwing it away after one use and trying to find one again just two minutes later. I had fun playing the game.. By far the longest HO game I've played. It doesn't follow the classic HO format - there is more of a puzzle factor involved, in that you must use the objects you have found to find the other objects. The mini games are the usual and whilst they make you engage the brain, they aren't difficult. The story is no masterpiece, but it is entertaining enough - I think it would be a hit with young players who like the magical genre. There is a lot of travelling back and forth to places, which would be annoying if not for the fast travel via the map. It was nice to play a HO game that wasn't as linear or as obvious as most are; this may be due to the amount of areas you visit - this is what stumped me a few times - not knowing which area I was supposed to use a tool in. I had to travel round all the scenes on more than one occasion trying out numerous potential actions when I was stuck. It was frustratingly enjoyable, but I can imagine that some players would just find it frustrating lol. Embrace it and you will enjoy the game.. Game is enjoyable ... However placing random RATE this game in the middle of PLAYING it brings the experience down to an cringworthy classless tactic. May want to let players decide for themselves if a game is worth taking some time out to rate it. At best it's going to drop the rating ... at worst , never play another game from this company. This would almost be acceptable if it was for free but it was and is not. Also I haven't completed the game so my review is incomplete. A well crafted puzzle game with better than average game mechanics. Random placement of advertising and REVIEW requests make an entertaining experience start to feel like it has to force feed the player into unwanted participation supplication. Let's see how the rest of this game plays out.. I have played all the Lost Lands games and again...I am disappointed that the clues are so wide spread and hard to follow. I do enjoy the games but am disappointed that they are so disjointed.
